Jon decided I should review Monday at Fanime since I am the only one (of snowulf fame) that attended Monday. Let’s see… Monday was useful this year in that I got to watch Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood: The Sacred Star of Milos, which I had been wanting to see. Other than that, it went just like the last two years… 2010 — get up, pack, cruise halls, and head out; 2011 — get up, pack, cruise halls, and head out.
Fanime Report: Friday & Saturday
May 30, 2012
Fanime is people, LOTS of peopleWhile we have an anime category, we don’t talk about it in excess (only 26 posts over 7 years). Be that as it may, Fanime is a big event each year for the staff of Snowulf. We’re all fans of anime, no shame in that, but our fandom is something on the quieter side as we’ve gotten older. Fanime gives us a chance to, once a year, really cut loose and geek out on anime. In 2011, the Fanime coverage was a lone post by John (as I was unable to attend). This year will be a little bit more extensive than last, in fact, if you remember the 5 part Fanime 2010 series, this will be much the same. We’ll be covering Fanime from both authors, across the entire weekend. I’ll be covering Friday & Saturday in this post with John covering Monday & the post-mortem. Enjoy!
Fanime This Weekend
May 25, 2012
Fanime! started today, and I am currently en route to San Jose for that very reason. As previously reported, Jon went in 2009, convinced me to join him 2010 (to which we did a five part followup), and I went last year. This year, Jon and I will be there for the whole convention. The show is fairly inexpensive (though prices have been raised from last year) and a single day pass is between $30 and $45 depending on the day.
