Internet Explorer: “The requested lookup key was not found in any active activation context”

I recently installed a new Windows 2003 server and right off the bat started doing the Windows Updates.  Even with Service Pack 2 installed, this process takes a while. Normally it wouldn’t be a big deal, but after letting the updates run on automatic for a while… Internet Explorer blew up.

SanDisk U3 LaunchPad removal

I’ve covered this topic before, but things change in a couple years, so I thought it was time to do so again.  SanDisks’ “U3 LaunchPad” is stupid and evil.  It isn’t just some auto-launching application, it basically takes over your entire flash drive so you can’t actually use it how you’d like to. For those that don’t know, the Fermi Paradox (originally asked by Enrico Fermi in 1950) is the question that if Extraterrestrial life should be so common, why don’t…

It’s Starcraft 2 Day

We’re basically dead to the world today.  Starcraft 2 is out today.  Even though some of Blizzards changes make me very angry, I’m going to give them a shot.  They’ve done well in the past, and I feel they should get one more shot.  Of course if their DRM system is a problem, or the…
