    Thanks for the discussion. I’ll probably give it some time, on general principles (after all, I only finally retired my last XP machine lately), but it’s good to know that it’s not that painful.

    Ran into an issue on an ASUS Transformer T100TA-C1-GR 10.1″. After upgrading it to Windows 10 (from 8), the mouse stopped working. External mouse worked just fine.
    Solution: Open Device Manager, uninstall the mouse, and reboot.
    After logging in, a popup asked me not to reboot while it installed the Asus trackpad drivers.

      Sounds like a driver uninstall/reinstall issue. I had something similar with my graphics card on my desktop. It stopped showing on my second monitor and went to 1024×768, I rebooted and everything came back perfectly.
