Well last night we (Sput, The Hoff, The Goupil, and some aparent female compantions that neither I nor The Goupil knew anything about) went to go see The Da Vinci Code. I’ll say that I have read the book, but it was long ago around the time it first came out. Needless to say I don’t remember the book very well so I can’t say how well the movie stuck with the book. As for the film, it was very well done. There were a few complaints that I had, first off why would you shoot a glock at an armored car? Everyone knows the only way to hurt someone with a glock to throw the entire gun. Also, in one scene the cops shot a man with a gun, except his gun was visibly empty and action was locked back. Now that I think about it, maybe it wasn’t so strange because it as the British polic and they all had MP5’s — the probably shot him for fun, after all they had MP5’s.
Also for the religious controversy, screw that. The story isn’t about trying to destroy christianity, its about the possibility that Jesus was just a man. A man, who had a wife (and child). I really don’t understand the big deal that has people yelling about one thing after another. Seriously people, if this story were true — it would just proove that Jesus was a normal-ish man, who had a wife and kid. It doesn’t mean he wasn’t a great man, that did many miracles. Well, that is of course if you belive in this religious stuff.
