The 69th Annual World Science Fiction Convention, WorldCon, starts tomorrow. I’m looking forward to meeting some of my favorite authors and getting some books signed. Amusingly enough, I had to actually buy some dead-tree books as I only had kindle versions of a few of my authors. Specifically, Mira Grant (aka Seanan McGuire) who’s book, Feed, is nominated for a Hugo Award for Best Novel, and John Scalzi. For him, I picked up The Android’s Dream, which I read when Jon used the loan feature on the Kindle. I’m also looking forward to meeting Brandon Sanderson, author of The Way of Kings, the first book of The Stormlight Archive, and the last 3 Wheel of time books (The Gathering Storm, Towers of Midnight, and the forthcoming A Memory of Light).
If you are curious if your favorite authors will be there, you can query their database.
Any readers headed to Reno for the convention?
