Happy Fireworks Day!

Yeah, I know, it’s the Fourth of July. Typically one calls today Independence Day (great movie Bee Tea Dub, rumored to have sequels in the works — yes plural). There are a lot of events going on today. Parades, BBQs, crazy summer hijinx… but really the highlight of the day is the Fireworks. When I was a wee chibi (thank you Wikipedia for having tons of silly articles), I was terrified of the concussive boom that fireworks made. Since then I’ve grown into the explosive loving, gun toting redneck that my Californian upbringing demands (wait… what?!?!). Well, maybe not the redneck park, that’s John’s job and I wouldn’t want to take it from him (Editor’s note: Yes, insulting heavily armed people is a good idea). Anyway, I was talking about Fireworks and how much I love them now. That same concussive boom that terrified me as a li’l one, now makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. I understand and respect the power that boom represents and wouldn’t mind having a few more of them throughout the year. Anyways, enjoy your fireworks this evening!
