Planetside 2 and Alpha Squad

As we mentioned previously, Jon and I are both in the Beta for Planetside 2. This should come as no surprise, but we are still enjoying it, that is when we have time to play it.

Smedley recently announced that it will officially release next month on Tuesday, November 20, 2012.

I’m sure you’ve all been dying to know if we were still enjoying it, but the real reason I’m writing today is to plug Alpha Squad.
Alpha Squad gives you instant access to the Beta and once the game launches: nifty faction specific Camo, a decal, a fancy title, 12 weapon unlocks (an Assault Rifle, Carbine, Light Machine Gun, and Sniper rifle for each empire), and for six months you get a 10% XP and Resource Boost. How much are these nifty bonuses? $39.99
Before you balk, I should mention that they also provide you with 4000 Station Cash, which is worth $40.00 by itself. So basically, you are just loaning them $39.99 which they immediately pay back with interest.

If you are a Planetside fan, you should definitely look into getting Alpha Squad. Jon and I both bought it as soon as we got the email, and then, of course, told each other we should go buy it. Hilarity ensued.
